Hawes
Hawes is often described as the "little capital" of Upper Wensleydale. It is Yorkshire's highest market town and is famous for its delicious Wensleydale cheese. The name itself means a 'pass between the mountains' as the town is nestled between the peaks of Buttertubs and Fleet Moss. The walks done in this area will be along the Pennine Way yielding picturesque views of lush rolling hills typical of the Yorkshire Dales.
